乔健,男,196311月生于河北省张北县。19789月至19817月在河北省张家口高等农业专科学校(现河北北方学院)兽医系学习;1986年硕士研究生毕业(南京农业大学)以来一直在中国农业大学动物医学院病理教研室任教;199812月评聘为教授,博士生导师;享受国务院特殊津贴。共6次获省部级以上奖励和表彰。近30年来共培养34名博士,59名硕士,大部分活跃在教学、科研、行政及生产等畜牧兽医相关的工作领域。主要研究方向:① 禽流感病毒的分子生态和细胞生物学;② 细胞信号转导与动物疾病。

现为中国病理生理学会动物病理生理分会副理事长,河北省畜牧兽医学会副理事长,国家科技进步奖评审专家,河北省二期现代农业产业体系蛋鸡肉鸡创新团队首席专家。
